Frenchwoman Amandine Henry announces withdrawal from the national team

French international footballer Amandine Henry, who participated in the Paris2024 Olympic Games, announced her withdrawal from the national team, after 109 games, on her Instagram account.

“ I had the immense honour of wearing this jersey, the pride of fervently defending our colours and the happiness of sharing unforgettable moments ,” writes midfielder Amandine Henry, 35, who plays for Toluca in Mexico.Having played for Lyon, Paris Saint-Germain and Portland, among others, Amandine Henry has seven Champions Leagues, 14 French national championships, nine French Cups and two titles in the United States to her name.

After winning Group A with two wins and one loss, France was eliminated by Brazil (1-0) – who would go on to lose the final to the United States (1-0) – in the quarter-finals of the Paris 2024 Olympic tournament.
