Today in Minsk, sports enthusiasts from among the elderly took part in the “Active Longevity – 2024” competition.

Today, in the indoor track and field arena in Minsk, sports enthusiasts of the older age took part in the open republican mass sports competition "Active Longevity - 2024".

Minsk Competitions were held in age categories from 50 to 60 years, from 60 to 70, from 70 to 80 and after 80 years. More than 70 team members from Minsk, Logoisk, Uzda, Baranovichi and Russia competed in 20-second push-ups, spinal flexibility, 400-meter athletic walk, and 20-second jump rope. The chief judge of the competition was the head of the Optimalist healthy lifestyle club, a well-known athlete and writer, 84-year-old Valyantsin Andreyevich Talkachov, a professor at the International Academy of Sobriety, a member of the Writers’ Union of Belarus. And the oldest participant of the competition, Konstantin Markavich Khatskevich, celebrated his 95th birthday this year.
